Fun and games for work!

Every now and then you need a break from work, and the Brilliant Blog is here to help. We’ve rounded up three fun quizzes, and best of all, they actually have educational value.

Quiz #1: The 25 Most Commonly Misspelled Words

Courtesy of Businesswriting.com, this quiz will help you find out whether or not you can actually live without “spell check.”

Quiz #2: “Eats, Shoots and Leaves” Punctuation Game

If you’ve heard of this popular book by Lynne Truss (which I haven’t read yet but is on my holiday wish list), then you probably have a guess about the purpose of this quiz. Don’t be fooled by the apostrophe section – it gets harder.

Quiz #3: The Super Fantastic Corporate Confusion Game

This quiz, developed by Atlanta-based writing agency The Content Factor, tests your ability to decipher descriptions of businesses that have been rendered meaningless thanks to an abundance of corporate speak. I’ll give you bonus points if you can actually finish this one – the business descriptions are so mind-numbingly dull that I could only finish three of the questions.

Did you ace each one of these? If you’re feeling super confident, post a comment with your scores below.

Brilliant ideas! Tried the spelling test, and I’m happy with 20/25. Love the concept….
