My background:
I've been a word nerd my whole life, and a professional communications junkie for the past 13 years. After paying my dues at two international public relations agencies, GolinHarris and Hill and Knowlton, I founded Brilliant Ink in 2008. I've worked in PR and marketing communications, but the bulk of my expertise — and my passion — is in motivating employees to do their best work. Throughout my career, I've been fortunate enough to tackle internal communications challenges for a broad range of clients, including Bristol Myers-Squibb, Elan Pharmaceuticals,Yahoo!, Dow Chemical Co., Novo Nordisk and Cord Blood Registry, just to name a few.
I love my job because:
I get to lead an amazing team, and I get to collaborate with awesome clients on fun challenges pretty much every day.
What inspires me:
The challenge of trying to do something just a little better than I initially thought possible. For example, we regularly say to ourselves, "This is good, but is it Brilliant Ink-y enough?" I love that we push ourselves to continually raise the bar on our own work.
When I'm not working you'll find me:
Hopefully outside, running or hiking somewhere in the beautiful Bay Area, or embarrassing myself in my new hip-hop dance class.
